To be an exile in the world is to be without a home, and that is hard. But it does not mean that we are alone, or without hope. In week 2 of our teaching series, we'll learn the keys to embracing our exilic status as a divine calling, rather than viewing it as a curse.

In week 1 of our new 5-week teaching series through 1 Peter, we will be introduced to Peter's letter, and be grounded in the life-transforming truth that as Christians, we have a "living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead..." (1:3).

We, by nature, want a king we can rule over, not One who rules over us. If the reason we follow Jesus is to get our way or get what we want, it's only a matter of time before we turn on Him. And yet, Jesus, knowing our weaknesses and tendencies, still came for us...to be our (Servant) King! You can trust Jesus to be your faithful King, even in these difficult days.
