Chances are, you have heard a sermon on money before. And chances are, the one doing the preaching told you that greed is the problem, not money. You can have a lot of it, as long as it does not "have" you, so we are told. We breathe a sigh of relief! "Not me!" we assure ourselves. But what exactly does the Bible say about money and its place in our lives?

Sermon: "Grace Is, By Definition, Given To The Ill-Deserving" | Rev Nick Braunschneider
In Sunday's Gospel reading, the grace of Jesus is on full display. He lavishes blessing upon a failure-prone Peter. We can learn much from the way Jesus relates to this disciple, including the fact that grace is not receiving the appropriate wages for a job well done. God's grace is given to those who recognize that they do not measure up.

Sermon: "We Must Be a Presence-Minded People" | Rev Nick Braunschneider
As Jesus is presented in the temple by His parents, there is a powerful convergence of Scripture, religious ritual, and the action of the Holy Spirit. What is true in Sunday's Gospel reading remains true today: these three "streams" work together to lead us to the face of our Savior.
